Photonic microstructures constitute a key enabling technology to realize scalable quantum systems. In a joint research activity of several faculties, laboratories and institutes at Technische Hochschule Nürnberg, we develop industrial and scalable manufacturing methods for photonic microstructures. As an academic partner of the Munich Quantum Valley, we envision industrial and scientific cooperations in the following areas:
- Additive manufacturing of micro-optics on PICs, fibers, glass, wafers, diamond etc. by two photon nanolithography
- Fiber Bragg gratings for optical filters and fiber lasers at arbitrary wavelengths
- Femtosecond-laser workstation for refractive index modifications, material processing and precision machining
- Deterministic manufacturing of spin qubits such as color centers in diamond or SiC
- Characterization of optical materials and systems
