The Peter Grünberg Institute (PGI) conducts research into the physical foundations of future information processing. Its work spans the entire development chain—from discovering novel phenomena and designing functional materials and nanostructures to creating new architectures, software, and system solutions. In an interdisciplinary environment, experimental and theoretical approaches are developed to realize scalable quantum computers. Close integration with the Jülich supercomputing ecosystem enables application-oriented testing of emerging technologies.
