Application Cntr Design of Scalable Electronic Systems for Quantum Communication

Fraunhofer IIS is one of the world's leading research institutes for microelectronic and IT system solutions and services. Scientists at the institute's Dresden location are working on key technologies for advanced adaptive systems. Starting in 2022, a new center for the practical application of quantum communication will be established at the Fraunhofer IIS site in Dresden. The application center for "Design of Scalable Electronic Systems for Quantum Communication" provides companies and researchers with access to flexible experimental test environments for the development of electronics for quantum communication systems. As essential building blocks for QKD systems, a special focus is on the design of compact and low-cost time taggers that are highly flexible in use.
